You have done very well. What does BEd mean ?  What subject did you teach ?

francypants is correct. I taught Design and Technology and maths although when I started the subject was called CDT; craft, design and technology.

Another thing I regret from my past was turning a footballer down. I was at The Locarno dancehall one Friday night. This man came up to me and said he couldn’t dance but would I mind sitting down with him on the seats surrounding the dance floor. I thought it was strange that all these men were coming up to him asking for his autograph. He said he couldn’t take me for a drink as he was playing football the next day. I said “ Oh, do you play in Longley Park “ He said “ No I play for Sheffield Wednesday.” He said you can come tomorrow and get in free”  I said “ No thanks, I don’t like football “ !       Big regret on my part !

The trouble was I forgot to ask his name !!

Wish I'd rented a dry barn somewhere and kept all those old £50 Minis I used to buy .

Same here along with the £15 BSA's, £60 bigger BSA's, £15 Reliant Regals, £40 Zephyrs, £50 ford Escorts, £150 Jags, £100 black cabs, £600 Senators.

On the other hand  we did buy all of the above and enjoyed every second of it, so no I wouldn't want to change that element of the past,

not even the breakdowns, grazed knuckles or 'arc eye :suspect: .

We were lucky we had the opportunity's, some took them others didn't 'No regrets here, just plenty of photo's of cars and bikes

Think many of us have some regrets about past cars Rockers. If only I’d kept that Model T Ford it’d be worth a fortune now!😀

Have you ever been to the Peter Black motor museum in Keighley? An amazing collection of old vehicles and motoring memorabilia.I saw the collection on an organised visit from uni many moons ago. I think it’s moved since then and is now called the Skopos motor museum and is in Batley.

Talking of really old vehicles a couple of blokes close by to me are keen collectors. One has several like those on the London to Brighton run. He drives passed in the summer when it’s fine with his deerstalker hat on looking like Toad of Toad Hall!

The other is a friend of my eldest son and he’s just bought a Model T Ford.

The old cars I missed out on in the ‘60s were an Austin 7 and an MG TC.

My first car was an Austin Somerset.

Probably not getting on to the property ladder earlier.

When I was 20 my bank offered me a mortgage on a 55k/60k new build (options were without or with a garage respectively). At the time I had an ok wage but missing a payment would have been really bad so I declined the offer

5 years later the same property (60k) sold for £130k.

I can't get any sense out of you,  I'll sit behind you and kick your chair  (like a boy did to me when I was in kindergarten)

Having attended an all-girls school,  I wonder if I missed out on something,  I would like to have sat between Jack and KP.

Don’t think you’d have survived!😀

On the other hand it might have been the ‘making’ of you!

PS. Currently I’m over in your neck of the woods aka the dark side,

because eldest son and his wife are off to see Peter Kay at Manchester Arena tonight.
