That's a shame. Hallam was great back in the day. Especially the 11pm phone in.

Boy did I have some fun at Mark Meadowcrofts expense the cocky so and so..

James H Reeves was brilliant too.

Great days..

I used to call Mark up too, he was a bit of a know it all.

Yeah he was. I hated the way he talked down to callers who he didn't agree with.

I definitely enjoyed get one over on him.

Looking back I've no idea how I didn't crack up 😬

Used to listen to it in the 70's/80's but thought it was absolutely dreadful in later years.

Can anyone remember a late night phone in host called Steve Hustler?

Martin Kelner's night time show was brilliant.  You can still hear him at weekends on Talksport radio.

But let's not forget the late, great & unique Roger Moffat.  What a legend.

I wonder if he ever got his wish to have his ashes scattered from a plane over 'Royal Hackenthorpe'?

Hallam lost its way when it was swallowed up & became part of a larger group of commercial stations, all playing the same playlist.

He was brilliant  ............   used to have me in stitches,  especially his hatred of the record   Black Betty by Ram Jam.   Thanks Roger.
