you pay for what you get generally. Everyhting you can eat for £10 or whatever isn't going to be fine dining is it??

completely agree!

I used to really enjoy the buffet style chinese restaurants but the last few times I've been I've been really disapointed the food looks and tastes like its been there for a week and they don't seem to have as much choice as they used to. I've most recently been to Jumbo and Wokmania which I will never spend my money on again.

The No1 always used to be nice so I might try that again one day and hope that it hasn't followed suit and gone downhill too.

I've never found Wokmania much good. (Agreeing completely with Meaks, there!)

About the only thing WM had going for it was the unlimited coke/ fanta thing. Food rubbish, selection poor, and the storage of the cooked food poor, too. (Agree with the "Dried-out food" comment above)

I haven't tried Wandering Dragon, yet, but some friends of mine went there the other week, and liked it.

if you want a buffet type meal, Estikutum on Staniforth Road has been pretty good every time I've been (about four times over the last 2 years) and you get the choice of Indian, Thai and Chinese dishes. It's fairly inexpensive, too.

To be fair, there's very little Chinese or Thai choice at Estikutum, especially if you don't like curry or spicy dishes.

Went to Flaming Dragon for the second time last Saturday early evening and was disappointed. It didn't seem to have as much choice in main dishes as the first time we went on a Sunday lunchtime. It's kind of put me off going again.
