Former Hsbc/Midland Bank, Broomhill

Work ongoing. Sign inside suggests it’s going to be Cawa Coffee. So perhaps a big destination bakery/cafe thing. They’ve just spruced up their cafe next door so perhaps they’re keeping that too, maybe knocking through?

Good to see the building coming back into use.

They’ve now covered up the windows again! So we’ll have to wait and see.

My guess is a Ukrainian restaurant, complementing their café nextdoor. That’ll do for me.

No recent planning or building control applications on the council planning portal for that address that I could see.

I suppose they could take on the lease and do a lot of stripping out work while they submit an application. It’s never going to be a bank again, so hopefully a change of use would be easy to get. I was hoping the old NatWest would have become something interesting that I might use.

Had a walk up to Broomhill this lunchtime, plenty of building work happening inside the bank building.

Now has some maybe Moorish or Indian style window trim to the glazing. Could it be an Indian restaurant? Big gap in the market for one in Broomhill.

If its an Indian, let's hope that it's better than Balti Ming... shouldn't be too difficult...
