After a drunken 2am conversation saturday night - who remembers these 80's TV classics? We used to watch them at school - Dark Towers was the best. They were part of "Look and Read" - and was presented by Wordy, a yellow hat that talked alot about "magic magic eeee!"

I bought the complete series of Dark Towers on Ebay last year, classic... They just don't make Educational TV as good nowadays... Apart from anything featuring Sophie "Ace" Aldred that is

And dragon's eye too - north for south, east for west, the quest.. to save the land of der der der goes by. Look bravely through the dragon's eye... la la la!!

I dont remember Dark Towers but we definately watched Geordie Racer, Badger Girl and Through the Dragons Eye!!!

I can remember us all singing along to the Geordie Racer theme tune [!] and Magic magic E!!!

Ecclesfield Primary's got a big orange Wordy painted on the short corridor wall...along with Bill the Brickie and the little Full Stop woman...well, it did six years ago...Eee! Loved them!
