mart
I went in the Fat Cat in Neepsend for a pint of Kelham bitter-always been a good drink. I was very disappointed to learn that some company had 'bought the recipe' and it was no longer sold at the Cat. I was offered 'Pale rider at £4. 30 Cheeky bar stuards ! So instead of the usual I just had one pint and left. Walked up to the Bankers Draft for a few. On a Monday drinks are only £2.30 odd per pint. Full price being £2.46 .How the Cat can charge £4.30! is rediculous. The Draft stays open until quite late. Can highly recommend the place.
Mister M
Lol - this thread should be good for a laugh. There was a thread on here from someone who was being very snooty about the bar staff having tattoos and multi coloured hair, and their customer service skills were very poor. And this poster was speaking from knowledge as she has an NVQ level 2 in customer service, or something like that. She also has a thing about pigeons, IIRC. I like the Bankers too. It's spacious, drinks and food are reasonably priced, and some of the customers are friendly. 1
Annie Bynnol
The Banker's Draft is one of 200 Wetherspoon pubs are listed in CAMRA’s Good Beer guide and at £1.17 a pint of Greene King's Ruddles for Camra members(50p off all real ales) the beer drinkers cannot complain. You can stay at some as well.
Pyrotequila
Doesn't it have a bit of a reputation as the place where the ladies of the night hang out, smack heads/ spice heads/ general druggies go, shoplifters try and sell and the homeless people like to go begging?

According to a certain well-qualified member of this forum., yes. Not somewhere I particularly like, but each to their own, I suppose.

Well we had a disco last week. The DJ played the twist, A customer did the twist, The DJ played the jump, A customer jumped, The DJ played come on Eileen, I immediately kicked the customer out.... "Padders Bar" has to maintain it's reputation.

hackey lad
Not a fan of Wetherspoons . One opened near us , been in about three times , noisy. Its like being sat in a Steelworks canteen . 19 minutes ago, Padders said: Well we had a disco last week.
