On Norfolk St near where to Browns (the bar) now is I'm sure there used to be an Italian Restaurant where the tables were downstairs, I remember going in the early 90's but haven't a clue what it was called, I also seem to recall there was an Indian Restaurant on the same row but can't recall that either.

Anyone got any clues?

There was definitely a curry house on there, went in a few times but can't for the life of me remember what it was called

I think it was called 'Latin Americano' or something similar (Latino American?) Very small doorway, you were enticed by the smell of garlic from the resturant which was down some steep steps. Had empty wine bottles on a shelf the whole way around the place. Their food was delicious, especially the garlic bread, yes, garlic bread! But I admit to never tasting it sober. Our last stop on a night out.

Mumtaz I think for the Indian, and Latino Americano for the Italian I believe.

Mama's and Leoni's, it's still there, I've just never been in, because as much as I love proper Italian Pizza, Italian Restaurants tend to be expensive.

Not great pizza in there TBH. Try Paesani at Crookes. Or not, if you're as tight as you profess on here.
