cuttsie Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 We used to get bricks and blocks delivered from Tates builders merchants ,concrete lintol and slab casters , brick makers ,they were on or near Greenland Road , The bricks were called Coupeses crossles they ere very hard and misshapen bricks that used to rip us bricklayers hands to shreds
drolnhoj Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 My house is on Darnall Road opposite the old fire station. Old maps show a brickyard on the site. My mate on Darnall drive has an old clay pit at the top of his garden.
