Does anyone know if you can get a memory stick for a Galaxy tabA (2016)

to copy photos on to?

Does the Tab have a USB connection? I suspect not, in which case you will have to copy the photos to your computer, and then to the memory stick.

You can't plug in a memory stick, but you can use a miniature SD card.  On the side of the tablet is a pop out tab with a hole, use the device given with the tablet (or a paperclip) to pop it out.  You can then copy photos to the card and transfer it to another device.  Either that or use Samsung Smart Switch (although that may not be practical as I think it will probably transfer a copy of everything from the tablet across to another device, I am not sure if you can select specific files only).

Maybe an OTG cable on the charging port. Is it just power, or power and data on that model? (I'd say power and data)

I'd just buy a bigger Micro SD card (good quality) & a USB card reader.

You can also transfer files via WiFi. That may involve setting shares up on the PC.

Have a think what would work best for you, and let us know which device or PC you want to copy from. Quite a few options, so the more info you give us, the more we can help you. EG: PC, Operating System etc.

I have a adapter cable that plugs into the phone or tablet micro usb and the memory stick plugs into that standard usb, i use an android app " file manager+"  which can see the stick, no doubt other file manager apps will do also.

Thanks for all your responses, I don't have a computer since the last one died, hence wanting to store on memory stick.

There isn't a usb socket on the tablet, but will look into the memory card idea thats been mentioned

Most phones don't take memory sticks unless they're Sony branded, and even then you've to be careful what size.

They tend to prefer micro SD cards rather than the normal size ones as well.

However, if you have the Google Photos app on your phone, you can upload directly to that, which generally has unlimited storage, and then go on Google Photos on your PC, and download photos from there, it's a bit of a long way to do it but I've been doing it for years and it works.
