Has anyone eaten there recently?  It was recommended by a work colleague.  Some recommendation!  I found the over-priced calzone (at £15.50 - without any side) very lacking in quality and quantity.  Others found their dishes lacking too.  I expect it's because its in the City Centre and a chain between two busy pubs?

Like most chain Italians, overpriced and bland.  Can't beat an independent family owned restaurant with only one branch

Yeah such as Vito's in Walkley, or Casanova's on Crookes.

Visiting both's definitely on my "Bucket list"

Maybe somebody could organise a "foodie meet" at one of them? You know, like we used to all those years ago? I do however remember the one I organised at the place next door to the Punch Bowl on Crookes! Unfortunately... To say that was an unmitigated disaster would be an understatement!

How did they used to work?

Did people have their Forum identities on a name tag.

It must have been some experience to put a face to a name, and my imagination is now running riot as to what a 2023 meet would be like😷🤪😂🤧🥳😳

Somebody would put a topic up on the "Going Out" section, and interested parties would exchange PMs if they were up for it.

Also back in the day, there used to be a meet most Sundays in the pub on Wellington St fka the Devonshire Cat, I went a few times, their Beers were quite nice, a bit expensive though, especially seeing as I refuse on principle to pay more than £3 a pint even at Town prices.
