Would be very nice Alex...

How about 3-0 the Blades.

3-1 to the blades, think they are in a false postion so far. Great finishing but lowest shots take in the league against our developing defence. We got this.

It would be nice if we'd got a goal scorer apart  from Billy

Khadra tore us apart at Blackburn, let's hope he can do the same for us against his old club.

Totally bossed that first half, Norwoods goal was a cracker.

What a brilliant game and two fantastic goals, the third was pure class.

Excellent all round performance. Blackburn looked very competitive until our second goal. Having said which, we had a number of chances which would have resulted in a goal on other occasions and their keeper played very well.

Top of the table but very early, far too early to start getting giddy. Squad looks strong as it stands and will get stronger once the injured players have returned.

Cracking performance, one of the best I've seen at the Lane in a long while, still don't feel we're firing on all cylinders yet ..

This is the most satisfying thing!….

I’m not going to say that we were perfect today, but by eck we were bloody good for the most.

First half we spread the ball around fantastically and played very direct and intricate triangles of football. We had them pressed to the extent that they were camped in their own half, not quite sure how to deal with us. Our CB’s sat high on the half way line and frequently in the opposition half….it was almost like a training pitch passing exercise…

The first goal…. About bloody time Norwood. Joking apart it was a textbook free kick, he doesn’t hit them that well all the time but today he did. Keeper was planted and didn’t even move, a difference class and fantastic to see fly in.

For a short spell then, Blackburn managed to pull a bit of possession back but we dealt with it all. In the first half they didn’t bother us once……

Second goal happened a bit too quick for my eyes on the South, but looked deflected? I see Ndiaye has claimed it anyway?

Third goal….. is why Ndiaye WILL have an £8-£10m minimum price tag on him at the end of the season, if not more if he continues his recent development. At times this lad is unplayable for the opposition…. He’s fast, direct, tricky, everything a defender hates. To pick the ball up and sprint from the halfway line like that…. And with a bit of trickery and guise, a couple of smart stepovers, he beats his man and finds the space to precisely curl in it like that off the near post….. phenomenal!

Couple of notes…..

Reda Khadra = a different class!…. we’ve unearthed another Gibbs White here that’s for certain. He plays with confidence and flair, he links up well and he’s just a ridiculously talented footballer! He’s going to be a class above for us this season.

Good report Cmonkes,

Top of the league, lets keep it that way.

Good solid performance. Felt for McBurnie today, put a right shift in  did everything bar score. To be honest he should have had at least 2 and don’t know how Brewster didn’t score at the end. Shout out to Norrington-Davies and Max Lowe, think I under rated the latter. Doyle’s cameo appearance was impressive. The two City lads appear to be living up to the hype, so far anyway.

The gulf in quality between the two teams is surprising given that last years Blackburn were unlucky not to beat us at the Lane.  Lesson to fans , never boo your former players, just served  to motivate Khadra
