When Do We Get First Frost?

with nights drawing in fast ,xmas getting closer when is it due,will it be sept or october,get them coats and jumpers out folks

When the temperature drops below 0 degrees C ( 32F) usually with a clear night sky and no wind.

 

Known it in late Sept / early Oct - known winters without frost.

I have seen road signs warning me of ice on the road from Sheffield to Stocksbridge only yesterday  so I guess it must be very soon
