Dem Blades V Sunderland.

Recommended Posts

No prediction the best team in Sheffield they aren't consistent enough yet.

Let's hope they are more settled and we get the right result.

I have absolutely zero faith in McBurnie doing anything up front for us.

I hope I'm proved wrong if we have to start with him.

Well the Owls let me down last night...

But I can always rely on the Blades to give me "A pick me up"

A confident 2-0 win tonight.

My bold.

At some point we'll sell him & then we can use the money to buy a FOOTBALLER!

I'll go 2 - 0 Blades tonight.

There might be enough for a whole Subbuteo team.

Well, we made hard work of that! Sunderland played well and until the sending off they were shading it in my view. I'm in the John Street stand about halfway between the halfway line and the away goal line.

After the second goal we should have strolled it but that's not ' The Blades Way '. Absolute nonsense of a goal to concede but thankfully we got away with it.

Sunderland supporters can be proud of their teams effort tonight, there were times when it was difficult to tell which team was a man short!

Definitely made  hard work of it... as usual.  Sunderland I thought edged it for the first half hour, then it turned rapidly after the sending off. But even at 2-0 up against 10 men we still hover our finger over the self-destruct button. Thankfully we held out. Got to give credit to their goalkeeper too. He kept them in with half a chance.

Got to echo cmonkes comment on wasted millions. Wilder threw a fortune down the drain on Mousset, McBurnie, and Brewster. History will show that that played a huge part in his departure. However, I think this seasons signings look to be very shrewd and very very good. Ahmedhodzic looks fantastic, McAtee looks great, Khadra looks like he could be an immense player for us, and we're yet to see Doyle make his mark.

Asides from the errors that we seem to commit (the give-away goal, Norwood and his wayward close-range passing again), we can take some positives from tonight, and I think we can confidently expect much more as the new squad gels.

Fingers crossed.

Agree with all the above. Seem to have strength in depth. Played well to a man tonight and very pleased with Max Lowe who I’d started to write off due to poor performances. Personally I think Jack Robinson is more than an adequate back up when he returns from injury. Ditto Bogle who I think along with Ndiaye , Khadra, and McAtee are proper “ ballers”.

I’m resigned to losing Berge but if the right offer comes in at the right price should invest more in the team.

Our injury list looks terrible again, wtf is going on ?

Shout  out to McBurnie for an outstanding cameo appearance.

Well it was a nail biter we never do things easy.

Their Goalkeeper made some wonderful saves.

3 points for the best team in Sheffield last night.

Keep up the good work.

Man of the match for me was the referee. He should stick to the park pitches in the Nomads league.
