Guest ThaBoom   #1 Posted August 13, 2022 I'm not sure what to make of this - is it a poor attempt to renew the classic rivalry between their fathers, or a genuine fight plan.  I clearly remember the 1990s rivalry between Benn and Eubank, one of the best boxing periods.  Yes, this fight is at a catch weight but just can't see it matching the tension and excitement when their dads fought. That was a genuine fight, same weight and build etc while here Eubank Jnr is the naturally bigger guy.  My prediction- Eubank via late stoppage or unanimous points win. Eubank has his dad's granite chin, so can't see Benn winning by KO.
 Share this content via...
Baron99   794 #2 Posted August 14, 2022 I'd still rather watch their dads fight.
 Share this content via...
geared   306 #3 Posted August 14, 2022 It's just a cash grab.  They've never met professionally, they never would. Different weight classes, different stages of their career.
 Share this content via...

Baron99   794 #7 Posted October 6, 2022 (edited) Fight's off. Benn has to tested positive for a banned drug & the British Boxing Board of Control weren't going to sanction it anyway. https://talksport.com/sport/boxing/1211441/chris-eubank-jr-vs-conor-benn-off-postponed-drugs/  Just a gimmick of a fight anyway. Edited October 6, 2022 by Baron99
 Share this content via...

Tree? Fall?) so hopefully a lengthy ban is heading his way.
 Share this content via...
geared   306 #9 Posted October 16, 2022 He passed the regulatory bodies tests so it's abit of an odd one, can they ban him off the say so of another company? and why did they not detect him?  I think half the reason he was doing the fight was to waste some time because he can't take Crawford or Spence Jnr. The_DADDY   3,468 #10 Posted October 28, 2022 Seeing as he's handed his license back this is all pretty irrelevant now I suppose
 Share this content via...
geared   306 #11 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) Yea I don't know what's going on and don't much care. It'll take a while to clear up, Eubank wants to secure a keep busy type fight in the meantime.  It might add a little bit of interest if he gets something in the meantime and puts on a strong performance. Show Benn he's going to need his very best.
