Nudity on Channel 4?  Shocking!  I wouldn't have expected that!

 

The interesting thing about that performance wasn't the nudity - that's so 1983 - but the lyrics of that song.  How the performer lists a set of reasons why she thinks that she's better than other women.  Did you hear/read what they are?  That is the essence of this ideology: aggressive misogyny and tired old tropes that we thought we'd batted away some time while silliness like this was still edgy.

 

I remember when Ben Elton used to spend his Friday nights doing routines that smacked down ridiculously regressive nonsense like this.  But now we're cheering it on like a crowd of incels at a men's rights seminar.  Pathetic.

Getting "toxic masculinity" out of schools, government, military, culture, and TV, seems to be working.

 

I hear they are even advocating the castration of schoolchildren.

 

The Western democracies, are certainly leading the way!

 

But will showing our more feminine side be able to counter, or deter our enemies and adversaries in the World who don't subscribe to the same values? They appear to nbe a numerical majority.

 

History shows that the World has been, and still is,  dominated by agressive, militant, masculine adversaries,
