A WOMAN IS A PERSON WHO IDENTIFIES AS A WOMAN.

but what qualities define a woman in difference to a man? who gives a man the right to say they define themselves as a woman when they dont know what a woman is?

Quote from Stonewall quoted above...

"If you wouldn’t ask a cisgender person what’s under their clothes, why would it be appropriate to ask a trans person?"

By virtue of them being a cisgender person would there be any doubt what's under a cisgender person's clothes?

Perhaps they've hired Alice Cooper as their chief medical adviser:

yes because you wouldnt know if that person is "cisgender" would you? and that person may, or may not, adopt the attitude that if they describe themselves as a certain gender then they feel they are of that gender and are now "Cis" and you wouldnt be able to do or say anything about it as it would be trans/cis/anythingelse phobic to question them regardless of their born gender / adopted gender / todays gender / this minutes gender (depending how fluid they are)

It's a tangent of the same argument that labels as 'genital fetishists' lesbians who reject romantic and sexual relationships with transwomen who retain male physical characteristics.

Here's an article in that extreme right-wing periodical left-leaning newspaper The Observer about the cotton ceiling:  If a lesbian only desires same-sex dates that’s not bigotry, it’s her right.  At Allison Bailey’s employment tribunal, breaking the ‘cotton ceiling’ was equated to racial integration, an idea that is as wrong as it is dangerous.

Quote

Last week, a QC on the Bar Council’s ethics committee defended the concept of overcoming the “cotton ceiling” – the offensive idea that a lesbian’s lack of desire for trans women is rooted in bigotry rather than their same-sex attraction – and compared it to initiatives to promote racial integration in post-apartheid South Africa.

That some are impressing on women that they are transphobic or akin to 'sexual racists' for excluding all males from their dating pool is deeply troubling. For many same-sex attracted lesbians, the right to say no to all males literally defines their sexuality. Lesbophobia remains a huge problem in a world riven with male entitlement, in which there is perhaps nothing more subversive than a woman being clear she is not attracted to men, full stop. Lesbians have for centuries been persecuted for their sexual orientation, attacked for not trying hard enough to be attracted to men and subjected to abhorrent practices such as corrective rape.

Not sure that adds anything to my point.

It wasn't intended to add to your point.  It was intended to illustrate one of the reasons why Stonewall uses the 'you shouldn't be concerned about what's under someone's clothes' argument.  As such, your question might be considered an insensitive, potentially offensive, irrelevance.

The Ukraine war is fake. President Putin is trying to stop the New World Order and the  Ukraine "war" is a smoke screen so that militaries attack Russia. They are also using it as an excuse for energy prices because they want more control over us. Their disgusting motto is "you will own nothing and be happy".

I have answered this post on the Ukraine war thread.

People should absolutely be free to live according to their natures; and the idea of the trans community manipulating lesbians in to potentially dating men, is abhorrent.

I get the impression, with some minority communities, it's all about their rights and liberty to live according to their nature; they’re not so concerned with the rights and liberty of other people.

I feel like the argument that if you don’t agree trans women are real women; then you’re a hater, is another example of this kind of coercion. It’s perfectly possible to consider ‘trans women’ to not be any kind of women at all; AND, not hate trans people. Why should anyone hate anyone anyway? As far as I’m concerned everyone should live according to their nature (so long as not harming others) and what people they choose to do with their bodies is largely their own business.
