It;s my Daughter's Daddy.

She found it in India many years ago.

Took into a jewel shop while in castleton on sunday, they confirmed it was solid gold, and the diamonds were authentic.

But to value it was £75.

Just wondering if were sitting on a gold mine.

75 quid to value it?

That's a bit steep but then i always was a tight un. It's a lucky find and I hope it's worth a load. I'll keep everything crossed for your daughter matey. 🤞

Go to Sheffield Auctions and ask them.

Free.

I’ll gladly settle for a £37.50 fee for this brilliant advice.

Go to a reputable jewellers and see how much they would pay for it, then add a margin on, say 30% and use that for the insurance valuation, you could ask your insurers if they would like to corroborate your valuation. You never know, the jewellers may make you a great offer.

If you're not actually looking to sell, a jeweller probably won't want to have their time wasted going over your ring.

So maybe tell them you're looking to sell it and are going round a few shops to get prices.
