What's happened to George Hirst anyway ? According to Wikipedia he's still a Leicester City player but looking at their list of players (again Wiki) he not on it, or Portsmouth's either.

Go back to Wiki and click on Under 23s. He’s listed but hasn’t got a squad number. He’ll be going on loan or just going.

Played ok 1st half without creating too much in their box to worry the keeper.

2nd half we got tore to shreds down our left, time and again, johnson didnt do enough to snuff out the threat and help out, as a result we got overun.

Defensively we look similar to the wigan friendly, Iorfa has had an absolute mare and the keeper is slow to react and doesnt look too comfortable with crosses.

We over hit too many crosses, and were guilty of not following in on loose balls.

FDB has had a stormer going forward but got caught in possession that lead to a goal.

Not the start we wanted, loads of work to do for the defence coach, some nice neat football@ times that lacked any threat, purpose or end product.

12 weeks ago we trounced this lot 4-1

Pompey hardly had a look in for the first 20mins, the all from Bannan that led to Johnsons goal was superb, it was a game where I felt one goal wouldn't be enough though and so it proved, the visitors came out of the traps and started making things happen 2nd half, a cross lead to a headed goal that got the away fans on their feet but not for long as Bashiru scored the first of two cracking goals, soon though the Owls were chasing the game as another two crosses and headers made it 2-3, Bashiru's second saved the day.

I won't get too downbeat after one game or even five games (after ten I might) but this one followed a similar pattern to games last season which is a bit of a worry.

I've just seen the goals, decent goals from bashiru but their goals were just awful. Need to sort that out as we'll not be scoring like that all season.

3 Centre halfs did not seem to work out right yesterday, and no proper left back  as  Johnson really is a left winger,Danny Crawley must have noticed this after the first half,so 3 crosses into the box from the left hand side cost us so much,we have been missing a goal scoring midfield player for a bit now but Dele Bashiru scored to Super long range goals, and hope now this gives if more confidence in shooting more regular, referee spoilt the game, booking 5 owls players and not no Portsmouth player,Gregory should appeal about is sending off,Stockdale not to good,so will Dawson now get a chance in goal

Wednesday werent compact enough out of possession at the start of the 2nd half, time and again they got done down our left, the big worry was why it took so long for them to sort that out by time they had wed conceded 3 goals in 15 minutes and pompey will feel that they should have had a pen.

Gregory cant appeal the sending off, no appeal for two yellows.
