Growing Thai Basil

Hi

 

I've got a 26cm diameter pot with a load of small plants, bit of a mixture in sizes.. I hear the best way is to keep them all tight & create a big bush as the stalks are thick & woody unlike Italian basil.. If i pricked them all out there's be hundreds so bush is best?   Also are winters aren't quite like Thai winters so i'd prob need to grow indoors with light & humidity.

 

Anyone who has grown both Sweet & Holy i'd appreciate your advice
