Sad to hear of his death.

For me the face of Look North until recently.

For those Yorkshire folk like me who regularly watch the BBC, Harry has been the mainstay of local news for more years than I care to remember. He always came across as an amicable and approachable character, almost like a family member.

Even though he retired a couple of years ago he'll  still be missed.

R.I.P. Harry.

echo.

The bigger tragedy here is that a two year old (yes, two) child is now fatherless. Thats a topic for another thread though.

I have just seen how Look North delivered this news live on the 6.30pm programme yesterday, absolutely disgraceful, they clearly told the host during the final bit of video and then cut back to her and she was in absolute bits on live TV (having worked with him for years) and expected to keep it together and tell everyone at the end of the programme.. Rotten way to treat her, could have just told her after the live broadcast and left it until the late bulletin.
