Male Blood Donor Turned Away For Not Answering If He Was Pregnant Or Not.

Recommended Posts

What a goon and what a warped set of values he has..almost "snowflakely" levels of over sensitivity

I’m outraged

Where will it end.

I’m also slightly concerned that I agree with Westy on this😁

I mean he is clearly an idiot, this was his 126th time, was the question not on the form before?

Just have a chuckle about it, tick NO, and move on, he clearly just wants the attention. Pretty sure I have had to answer similar questions in surveys, forms etc.... for decades.

It needs to be called out for what it is - ridiculous.

going along with it means it won’t go away.

Nothing new.  I was speed ticking the form about ten years ago and ticked all the sections for women.

I got asked to do it again just in case I'd make any other mistakes and could put myself or the blood at risk.

Difference with me is that I didn't go running to the papers.

Why bother when its just one question?

If they really want to change it just put in a "not applicable" option to keep angry gammons like this happy.

Or

why bother asking men if they are pregnant?

Hence put a "not applicable" option in, hardly need to reinvent the wheel here.

Do you think the person in the news article is maybe overreacting a tad? Nothing but his ridiculous ego is stopping him from giving blood.

Coz we wouldn’t have this thread to pontificate on, however if he is pregnant can I be his manager?

The answer to that is in the article:

Quote

"Whilst pregnancy is only a relevant question to those whose biological sex or sex assigned at birth is female, sex assigned at birth is not always visually clear to staff.
