bassett one 449 #8 Posted July 2, 2022 the answer is run by owners and lots stood idle on there home premises as they cannot get staff to work them,i spoke to many and theres 3 or 4 owners running the stall where they used to use there vans and a member of the family went with the staff to different events,now theres a huge shortage causing huge queues at events ,due to the shortage of hotfood vans at events,at graves park we counted up to 150 people queueing at hotfood vans due to staff shortages,okay its not everyones idea of a job,but as the owners said many have been trained by them over the years and gone on to make a good living by setting up there own businesses ,but i am sure things will get back to normal eventually.or we will have to get back to the old days and take our own food and a flask.they the owners said many workers worked the hotfood vans to save for deposits for morgages or buy cards or enjoy extras in life,but covid and near full employment changed everything,on the good side more folk invested in classic cars thus giving us all a chance to see these top vehicles ect,but its a great investment as it stands i am told.
