Cineworld Bow To Mob Rule

That's debatable.

You could argue that it is a free country, so Cineworld are free to remove a film that brings loads of hassle on them, due to the freedoms of protest.

Would you agree?

So causing "loads of hassle" is acceptable now?

It appears that Cineworld has bowed to mob rule and stopped showing the film Lady of Heaven (which was obviously deemed fit to be shown by the BBFC) because a baying mob of Muslims protested, what a world we live in.

wernt you one that was banging on about the right to protest during Covid? and the government cracking down with new laws against protest.

Dont people have the right to protest against a film they dont like?

As well as the freedom of expression, speech.

So here it is folks, the peaceful tolerant face of happy, harmonious multi-cultural Britain.

Cineworld pulls £12m film on Prophet Muhammad's daughter after it's branded 'blasphemous' | Daily Mail Online

We're seeing the usual tame capitulation to the Muslim bully boys but bullies usually get their own way, because they tend to be violent and we can't blame the cinema managers for fearing for the safety of their staff, given what happens to people who upset Muslims.

Apparently, the film is breaking the laws of blasphemy even though that isn't a crime in this country, but that doesn't matter to this lot, they bring their own laws and values with them, then impose them on western countries who are foolish enough to let them in. We need politicians who are strong enough to stand up to Islam but they're all running scared and find it safer to give in to their demands whilst telling us we've been enriched.

Islam is spreading throughout the western world like the red weed in 'War of the Worlds' which smothered and choked the landscape, turning what was green and blue into red with planet Earth slowly ending up looking like Mars. It's only a matter of time before this country becomes dominated by Islamic values and we end up with a society that resembles a graveyard rather than one enlivened by the chatter of free speech.

Do you think Cineworld genuinely wanted to remove the film?

I wouldn't have thought so would you?!

It's now a nice little earner, as millions of people like me, who had never heard of it have now heard of it, and many will want to see what all the fuss is about.

Protesting is about causing loads of hassle. Can't have it both ways, either it isn't allowed and people complain that the government are too heavy handed, or you allow it, and thousands of men can go and get away with this sort of thing.

This is a free country. Cineworld should be allowed to screen whatever films they like. If someone doesn't like the film then don't watch it, simple.

If someone doesn’t like it, they don’t watch it.  If someone likes the film, they can’t watch it (not at Cineworld at least). Simple!

Oddly, was just reading this thread, and it came up on the BBC news!

Haha welcome to the thread and following your posts on the Coronavirus one your totally in the wrong again, I've nothing against people peacefully protesting, I encourage it, the statement from Cineworld confirms that this was anything but peaceful, you can go back to sleep now. 🤣

as far as im aware this was peaceful, as for covid i saw plenty of abuse of police, swearing etc which was far from peaceful, but i know you only like freedoms when they are something you agree with
