It's beginning to look like the whole egg throwing saga is a hoax.  We should have suspected when the incident happened fairly early in the morning at a time when the anti Margaret Thatcher / Anti Tory layabouts are still in bed.

He was probably on his way home from a council subsidised night club. Whacked out on sudafed and vodka. Quick trip to the food bank for eggs and Bob's your uncle.

You could be right.  When looking back at the clip he looked fairly subdued and didn't look like his heart was really in it.  A professional anti Margaret Thatcher / anti Tory yob wouldn't have been so composed and would have had a rant before and after throwing the eggs.

Just been looking further into this. 

 

When I first saw the video that was posted up here from a twitter account (video now deleted) I though it a bit suspicious and just a publicity stunt as the person doing the videoing was following the man closely and seemed to know exactly what he was going to do. It seems that the person videoing it all was Dee Barnes who is a tutor in ceramics at Leicester and Loughborough Universities and also married to the alleged Jeremy Webster who threw the eggs. He is the deputy director at the Attenborough Arts Centre, an arts programme also run by the University of Leicester.

 

Dee Barnes may have thought it a good way to promote her business on twitter but this seems to have backfired as even her mother said the stunt was childish. Don't you just love twitter.....
