Postcode Walks - S20

Recommended Posts

I want to take a 2-4 hour walk around each of Sheffield postcodes in Sheffield. (A lot of the Sheffield postcodes are in different cities.) Probably take me a decade at the rate I go.

I'm going to start with S20 and work my way back to S1.

For each postcode, I want to experience:

  • Something beautiful
  • Something tasty
  • Something interesting
  • (I think I just described myself! 🤪)

Any advice for S20?

Any reason you are totally missing out S35? Part of S36 is in Sheffield also.

I hope you're going to post a blog about what you see and find. I'd read it, it should be interesting.

However I'd also like to know why you're missing out S35 (very much an integral part of Sheffield) and S36.

Your tour will not be complete without it.

Good luck!

I'm not sure it's the correct postcode but doesn't Marsh Lane in Mosborough veer into the S20 area?

Years ago myself & my then partner drove out there several times to a really nice craft shop and cafe.

Could be worth a trek?

EDIT: When you do S9 I'd definitely recommend the 5 Weirs Walk and you'll pass 'Cobweb Bridge!' which I didn't even know existed!

S35 and S36 now added to the list! So much for my Google skills.

Thank you for that advice, and for the specific places to go.

By coincidence, I joined a group on the Five Weirs walk this week and we went through the Cobweb Bridge. Was very proud to have seen it here first. Thanks, MM

It's a rough area, lots of gangs etc be careful. Especially around Westfield, Halfway, Sothall. A really uneasy feeling around there.

Making it sound like Harlem and Queens, give it a rest.

@Dozer just seen this, fab idea! are you going to do a blog or updates somehow like Anna suggested? would be interested!

Also S36.. lovely walks around Penistone/Thurlstone and I'd recommend Barista for food (we went the other week for bottomless tapas and their lunches are delicious too)
