It all depends on whether you want downloaded music as opposed to streamed music, which tends to be the more common of the two these days. In order to have a streamed music supplier, you need to have a reasonable days plan on your phone I guess.

If you have....then the next question is whether you tolerated advertisements or not. Most of the current music streaming giants (Spotify, deezer, apple) offer a free version of their services... however with free comes obvious sponsored advertisements between songs. In one sense its no different to ordinary radio, but if it is solely music that you want.... then it's a paid service that you need.

Spotify offer 3 months free with no catches what so ever... and you can cancel at any time.

You can download songs to your phone, create your own playlists, etc etc.... as a long term user, I recommend them... however I get it free with my mobile phone contract.

After the free period, you the  have to pay £9.99 a month for the premium service. The way I see it, ever if it wasn't free....... as a music lover, I would still pay the equivalent £2.50 a week for unlimited listening. Think how much a single cd used to cost???... you have literally unlimited access to every cd.

The beauty of streaming as opposed to downloaded, is that it doesn't take up as much memory and doesn't slow your device down.....

Hope I have helped and not warbled on too much buddy.

Rip the CDs you already own to mp3s on a PC using free software, transfer to phone via charging cable.

Give us a list of what you would rip, and maybe we have a copy to give you!
