There were some really classy shops on London Road back in the 60’s & 70’s.

True, the Silver Tiger Chinese restaurant, next to Highfields Library was the first Chinese I went in back in the day. The Maharaja Jal Sing, Indian restaurant on London Road was good. Does anyone remember the Disk Jockey Cafe down by the Locarno.
