Worried About Reptile Invasion?

Recommended Posts

i was reading a report the other day ,that we the public may have to be extra carefull in the next 12 months, because with fuel bills being so high that many will be just dumped and it could cause the public a problem, not jurasic park problem, but a problem never the least, any one heard of it? does it worry folk? i hope if people have problems they will at least contact a proper animal centre,as other wise it could be a safety problem and what about the poor snakes, lizards ect, what do others think?

Well the rats in Graves Pk manage ok, so I can't see any problem with the snakes and lizards.

Hmmm...

Now I'm no herpetologist, Mr Padders but...

... I think you may be confusing rodents and reptiles here!

The big difference as I understand it is, rats are rodents which are warm-blooded...

... whereas snakes and lizards are reptiles which are cold-blooded.

Warm-blooded creatures generate their own body heat by getting lots of exercise, but cold-blooded creatures are far lazier, and get their body heat from their surroundings...

... which is probably why you don't see any reptiles complaining about global warming!

Hope this helps! :)

And I'm no David Attenborough, so yes it does help.

Thanks.

Couldn't you just release the snakes in Graves Park in the warm weather to kill the rats ?

Who’d eat all the detritus and waste food left by the public then? 🙄😂
