Clare J   10 #1 Posted April 22, 2022 Hi all  I am attempting to visit all of Sheffield's parks during my maternity leave and have been using a list on the council website of 83 parks (I've since learned there are far more than this!)  I've nearly finished the list, but can't locate some of the ones on it.  If anyone could point me in the direction of any of these remaining 5, I would be very grateful!  Manor Sports Ground Mosborough Country Park Thorpe Hesley Recreation Ground Tunwell Park (formerly Wooden Park) Woodthorpe Recreation Ground  Thank you!  Clare
 Share this content via...

Wealth of photo's and information, excellent mind jogger for any Sheffield'er. Some of my favourite pics are, one of the little 'refreshment' cabin that used to be at Wyming brook. Being of a certain age I can remember the abandoned 'open air Auditorium' in Graves park (Cobnar woods). Up to finding this book I hadn't been able to find photo's of the place. And as if by magic, (click the link below) I've just found this on't T'internet  Norton Rifle Range – SHEFFIELDER  Keep safe enjoy the maternity leave .  Why didn't we have maternity leave . Can it be backdated or applied for in retrospect I could have retired 9 years earlier 🤣 🤣 🤣.
 Share this content via...
