Sheffield Wednesday Fc V Crewe F C

Recommended Posts

So after caning the high flying dons with a first class performance, the owls face already relegated, bottom of the league and doomed Crewe.

So we all know the script

Owls 0 - 5 Crewe

Any owls fans expecting bottom of the table crewe to be  easily swept aside hasn't been an owls fan for very long

Remember owls v bottom of the table Burton 4 years ago?

We seem to perform better against the teams at the top than the ones at the bottom, relegated teams sometimes start to play once their fate is comfirmed, a must win if we are to keep ahead of the pack.

Didn't the owls do the same a few seasons ago

Had the lose games to win mentality?

Once relegation was confirmed they beat Burnley 7-2 away

Think the Wimbledon match proved there’s no easy games regardless of where the opposition are in the table…..not bothered how we play or what team is selected…just as long as we win…

Never an easy game for us. Yes we should be beating these but relegated sides can be tricky opposition. After the last result it's Wednesdays playoff spot to lose, anything less than 3 points and we will probably miss out.

Need to win big style now out of top 6 and we should.

We've seen so many times teams start to play without fear once their inevitable relegation is confirmed, after today's results a win would put us in a good position going into a tricky away at Wycombe on Saturday.
