Covid-19 pandemic is over in the US - Joe Biden

"We're still doing a lot of work on it. But the pandemic is over," said Mr Biden in a television interview.

Statistics show that over 400 Americans on average are dying from the virus each day.

Surely they mean with from or with Covid.

Except they don't because the BBC are biased.

OMG.....

A government spokesman was being interviewed on R4's PM on the state of the economy, and was pressing the points, no problem there. But it was what the BBC interviewer said which almost made me spit out my coffee :

You have two excuses which are beyond your control, the war in Ukraine and the pandemic  but what about XYZ.

HOLD ON !

What the government did during the pandemic was completely in their control ! They chose to suppress the economy, nobody forced them to do it, and, in fact, doing so had never been done before and neither was it in any of the pandemic planning.

Write to BBC complaints... more chance of any effect than posting here.

In the end, nobody belived Pravda, it was a national joke!

Time for the Western Government news organs to bite the dust.

The CBC is a government monster gobbling up tax dollars

Broadcasting the devine wisdom ("conservatives suck!) in English, French, and the seven most commonly spoken languages across Canada, Arabic, Cantonese, German, Hindi, Mandarin, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

Including that Canadian Insitution, "Hockey Night in Canada"

They even publish cheat sheets, For a laugh, see:

Their answer :

Thank you for contacting us about ‘World at One’ broadcast on 17 November.

We note your concerns about the programme.

Sarah Montague interviewed Victoria Atkins. In asking Ms Atkins “You flag up the two things over which you have no control, the pandemic and the war…”, Sarah was referring to the pandemic itself rather than the government’s response to it.

The full question she put to Ms Atkins was:

“You flag up the two things over which you have no control, the pandemic and the war, there are two things that Conservatives have had control over, Brexit and the election of a very short-lived government who completely spooked the markets. Do you accept that they have contributed to this too, those two factors?”

Nonetheless, we appreciate it was inaccurate and inappropriate to suggest the government had no control over the pandemic.

So it was worth complaining for them to admit that. Hopefully they will try harder in future because this is a live issue. It is exceptionally important that it does not just become accepted that when a pandemic occurs we have no option but to suppress society.

Particularly on Sheffield Forum, which is obsessed with merging threads rather than starting new ones (even if the subject is significantly different), this is a spectacularly ludicrous post.

This is even more the case from yourself. I started a thread about the Supertram link bus but you actually requested it be merged into the South Yorkshire Bus Service Needs Improvement thread.

You are either the world's biggest hypocrite, or are just trying to troll, or, most likely, both.
