The banning brigade have been hoisted by their own petard, hence the poor take up of the amnesty.  Usually an amnesty is applied to folk who have transgressed, not those who have been the target of the bully boys and girls who should themselves be banned.

I was a regular poster a long, long time ago and closed my account.    Came back years later under that old username and was instantly banned.

Contacted  Helpdesk who allowed me this username on the original account…

... so when you change your username, the joined date and all your old posts stay as they were.

... it certainly clears up a few 'unexplained queries' that I've noticed on the forum!
