Sheffield Comes 26th In 'Best Night Out' Index.

Survey puts Sheffield 26th out 50 towns in a Best Night Out survey just below Stoke:

I know nothing about nights out in York, though it's very nice in the day time. 

Admittedly I'm not keen on Sheffield for a night out, but some will be.

Must say that Telford being number 2 on that list is extremely... questionable.  Though the criteria is a bit limited.

Although I've never been to Telford, it doesn't scream 'a great night out'!

I've been to Hull plenty of times & really enjoyed myself, and that ranked even lower than Sheffield!

Telford is convenient for getting to Ironbridge, and the surrounding countryside is very nice...

 

Giving it a quick scan it looks like the survey's only concerned with the price of a pint, the number of pubs and clubs, and how safe you feel on a night out.  Not to do with atmosphere and whatnot.

I'm sure that a forummer will be along soon enough to complain that Sheffield would've come higher on the list if only:

There were more free car parking spaces

Less tramps / big issue sellers / chuggers

Sheffield City Council wasn't Sheffield City Council
