As they say "The Lord moves in mysterious ways" but there again so does SCC 🤣.

 

I mentioned I'd helped a few apply for the 'Household support grant' (£200) a while ago (you have to be claiming Council tax support).

Barnsley councils web site couldn't be more easily accessible and the five claimants i put wise to the grant all had theirs quickly dealt with. 

SCC on the other had, finding the application form hidden on their web site is the first task and with each council deciding how they appropriate the fund makes for some strange decisions. Leeds appears to be the same for not wanting to hand out same grant ????

Barnsley Council do some things really well.  For instance, their online information about council housing is far simpler than Sheffield’s.

Been waiting  6weeks to give the council more tax . They must have enough already 😁
