Yes. The one next to the Moss Way roundabout used to be in cyrillic script.

Bigger question to me is why was Sheffield twinning with a socialist state in the USSR at all? I never understood that, but then I never understood all that Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire nonsense either.

 

Hindsight shows it achieved nothing but make us the poor relation of every other large city in the country.

Thats a bit dramatic. Wiki tells me there are 12 English towns/cities that are twinned with towns/cities in Russia,  another six with towns/cities in Ukraine. Nottingham is even twinned with Minsk in Belarus ffs, I doubt all of this twinning activity has happened since the Iron Curtain came down.
