London Property Prices Mad Or What?

They are mad, but I can see why someone would pay 50k for that.

You could use it to sleep in for a couple of days a week if you worked from home, but had to have a presence in a London office. You could maybe even share it with a colleague, a couple of nights each a week.

It would probably let quite easily on Airbnb, for someone looking for budget accommodation to visit London.

It would retain its value, whilst also serving a purpose. That makes it a decent investment.

I don't think you could live there permanently though.

Just reading that bit in the article where Kirstie Allsop is quoted as saying

"people could afford to buy their own homes if they spent less on the gym, easyJet flights, coffee and Netflix."

Hmm not everyone was born into a fabulously wealthy family like Kirstie was

At £50,000 it's " reasonable" by the crazed standards of London.

The fact it's likely to go for  at least double that is mind blowing

I couldn't live in that place for a week, even if I was paid, let alone fork out that kind of money for it.

I'd sooner rent somewhere decent

I ‘m sure that it passed safety regs, however they don’t cover every eventuality. What if boy/girl about town gets cemixed, pulls someone in a similar state and comes back to micro flat for sex, drugs & rock & roll and sets fire to it?

If it is up for auction I'd like to know how much it would go for

This is what's so worrying about some people's lack of experience of another side of life.

Politicians please take note...

She’s entitled to her opinion, however IMHO she was talking complete rubbish, but I defend her right to make a fool of herself.

The minimum price set by auctioneers is £50,000, but it is expected to go for more as it was bought for £103,500 in May 2017.

In other words the guide price is just to get you through the doors.

I would only go to London twice a year so it would probably suit someone who wanted office space.
