We had an amazing 78 entries for the 2023 calendar for January.

We've selected our Top 5 below and would love if members of the Forum could help decide the entry for January!

Will close the voting 1 Feb 2022 at 10am and announce the winning entry then!

Hmmm...

Are we allowed to comment on this thread?

Anyway, I think that as it's going to be the first page of the calendar (as it's January), then the photo should show that the calendar is all about Sheffield - so I've voted for entry #5.

Failing that, it'd make a very good cover photo for the calendar - and maybe have each month show a different area of Sheffield?

All the others are very good though, and maybe could be considered for the coming months?

Just my opinion fwiw... :)

Can we make other suggestions for pictures?  How about:

- a pile of rubbish in the street at Page Hall

- The 237th fire at the Sheffield Ski VIllage

- a 78 year old man stood outside the site of the old Castle Market crying his heart out and howling about those "bloody town planners"

- A Sheffield United and a Sheffield Wednesday fan both calling each other the same offensive term, because its proper edgy and all that

- Someone on Arbourthorne pointing in the sky at the police helicopter, wondering what its doing

That's a good idea @MrBloke - we had so many great entries it was difficult to choose a top 5 for the one month.

I don't think that's the idea behind the calendar Mr Risen!

But maybe you could come up with an 'alternative' calendar, showing all the bits of Sheffield that obviously mean so much to you?

It'd make a pleasant change to see a few members on here joining in by doing a bit of snapping instead of sniping... :hihi:

I prefer the Arts Tower photo,  makes January seem warmer.
