Bit disingenuous. The appointment is made jointly by the mayor and the home secretary. Lose the confidence of one or other and you're on shaky ground. Even Patel (who sometimes does seem to actually care about misogyny, sort of) didn't seem very supportive of her, though seemed happy to let Khan pull the trigger.

Yes, clearly. He lost patience with her, quite rightly. She clearly didn't plan on addressing the culture in the Met.

Its not just one person that is responsible for the shambolic management of The Met. It is the whole management structure that have been delegated responsibilities and failed. The whole top tier of Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Assistant Commissioner and all the Commanders should resign too.
