Cressida Dick And The Met

Recommended Posts

I was amused to hear the BBC describe Ms Dick as the leader of police in the UK.

She is not.

The policing of the UK is not beholden to London.

Ms Dick leads, only, the Metropolitan Police in London.

More reasons to cut BBC funding?

Just heard Lord Sumption explaining that a report only contributes to investigation and restrictions should only apply after charges are made.

Cressida is incompetent at least and corrupt at worst.

Didn't she obstruct the inquiry into the murder of Daniel Morgan?

The murder which led to the Met being called 'institutionally corrupt' - under her leadership.

Usually, the only reasons to restrict a civil investigation are: criminal charges are brought by the police, or the subject of a police investigating is unaware of the police investigation. Neither of those apply here, so it seems very odd that the Met have intervened in Sue Gray's investigation.

Nothing new here, as per usual, Irresponsible Incompitent  Boris and co will just use power and privelege to end up just getting a wrist smack and a few non descript MPs getting a silly little fine.  He will never resign no matter what,  he has skin like an Elephant the morals of a sewer rat.
