The company quietly released the safety portal on Monday. The Personal User Safety Guide offers advice on how people can keep themselves and their data safe. AirTags are designed to locate lost items using Apple's powerful 'Find My' network. They are small button-shaped items that can be attached to keys or a wallet. However, the BBC and other outlets have previously found evidence that AirTags have been misused to track people. What say you? steve68 66 #2 Posted January 28, 2022 (edited) Criminals will have been using these since they first came out, months ago there were reports of car thieves hiding these on cars in Canada, then tracking them back to car parks and homes to steal them, from what i read back then the built in safeguard only worked if you could hear the device bleep, not helpful if its been secreted on the outside of a vehicle. BBC same subject story back in June last year https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-57351554 Edited January 28, 2022 by steve68
 Share this content via...

It's not the safest way to give people tracking devices
 Share this content via...
