I bought the above around 20 years ago from the local artist section of the Crucible shop.

 

Possibly a long shot, but does anyone know who the artist is?

Is that a name inscribed below? My eyesight isn't great but I'm sure the 1st name is Rowan

The inscription says 'Rowan caught in April 1702'

 

You could try taking it into the Airy Fairy shop on London Road, it looks like something they might have in their window.

If they haven't signed it anywhere then you'll be lucky to get much info.

 

I'm not aware of any local artists known for doing odd Fairy wall-hangers.
