Stanmash 0 #1 Posted January 23, 2022 Hi guys. So as I highlighted in earlier enquiries, I recently moved to Sheffield (2 weeks ago now). I had a metal triple bunk bed when I moved but because of the configuration of my new property, it just won’t fit and a few pieces decided to break in transit. Now I have since dismantled the whole thing but have no idea what to do with the pieces. I have all of them (pieces) and the screws, bolts, nuts and allen keys to go with them. If anyone wants it, by all means, they can come pick up for free. If not, please advise on where I can dispose of these here. Thanks in advance… NB:The mattresses don’t come with the frame. Litotes 63 #2 Posted January 23, 2022 There are a number of Household Waste Recycling Centres around the city https://www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield/HWRC Although there are also a large number of vans which prowl around the city looking for scrap metal and if you put it outside your house, I am sure it would go. Alternatively, a group like the British Heart Foundation might be interested in upcycling them.
 Share this content via...

Technically, if it is within your property boundary, it isn't fly tipping
 Share this content via...
Findlay 116 #6 Posted January 24, 2022 Take any scrap to Millthorpe Metal Merchants and they will donate any cash to the Sheffield Litter Pickers Group. https://en-gb.facebook.com/groups/SheffieldLitterPickers/permalink/1769628266546830/
 Share this content via...
spilldig 187 #7 Posted January 24, 2022 Op may not have available transport. Hacksaw it up into suitable pieces and put in the black bin.
 Share this content via...

I think you would be better selling them privately.
 Share this content via...

The best way to make sure it disappears is to lock it up in a garden shed 😊
 Share this content via...

I live on a hill so they were made bespoke for my drive unfortunately, which is a shame as i agree i'd get far more private.
 Share this content via...
