Hi,

The first man on the scene was an airman, Flight /Sargent Clem. Payne, who lived on Ruslings Road very closely followed by my father Henry Hardy,a civil defence ambulance officer who happend to be driving past, between them they rescued the rear gunner who was alive when they found him but unfortunatly  died soon afterwards.

kind regards,

Brian.
