Sheffield City Centre - The Future

Recommended Posts

The Coles building stands up better than many of the 80s ones that are already reduced to rubble.

The Wellington St fire station was always a ludicrous place for it to have been built, years after the center was traffic snarled

Nope.

The John Lewis building is quite a handsome building from the outside.

It was a bit tatty and rundown on the inside, but you couldn’t tell that from the photo.

This is what youd expect to see when you walk in that building

Cannot unsee the  Hellraiser Cenobite.  But distressingly it's got two lipless mouths.  So thanks for that.

Jesus wept.

You’re not wrong there.

I last shopped there a year or two ago and I was by some margin the youngest person in the store 😁

To give them credit they have transformed The Moor

Its quite nice now but thats had a knock effect on Fargate which now has half the stores empty

I think it wont be long until M&S move out of there

I suggested using Fargate for bars, cafes and restaurants

However, i think the extortionate rents will put a stop to that

Wow, what a comprehensive argument.

You’ve certainly convinced me 😁

Given a lot of the regeneration on The Moor would now be a good time to demolish the hideous and ugly Debenhams building and replace it with something much nicer?
