The Manager   12 #1 Posted January 1, 2022 What's happened to the place ,Last few times I been it's been dead Why no Football on Tv or Music being played ? I'd be surprised if it can carry on making a Profit with such a large venue not being used to max
 Share this content via...

bungleboy69 Â Â 98 #4 Posted January 1, 2022 Isn't every pub dead at the minute? And isn't the music turned off to discourage singing due to Covid etc. Most games seem to be postponed on TV..
 Share this content via...
Jack Grey   1,602 #5 Posted January 1, 2022 Ive always thought that Wetherspoons USP is no music and no sports?  I was in Bankers Draft last week and looking around you could see that Covid would kill a lot of their customers so maybe they are staying away
 Share this content via...
hauxwell   243 #6 Posted January 1, 2022 Weatherspoons up here in the Northeast are the same.  They don’t seem to be as busy as they use to be.  I’m sure people are staying away because of covid.  The Five Swans in Newcastle use to be full of students, you were lucky to find a seat, that’s not the case at the moment.  Also Wetherspoons Electrical Wizard in Morpeth is exactly the same, at lunch time you were lucky to walk in and find a table but there are  empty tables at busy times. It’s the same with The Quayside pub another popular one and my favourite, it’s not busy. They have a few meal deals on at the moment up here to try and attract customers.   I’m hoping 2022 will be a kinder year for the hospitality trade. They deserve it.
 Share this content via...

Annie Bynnol   611 #10 Posted January 1, 2022 I hate grammar, particularly apostrophes.  "The Bankers Draft is a Wetherspoon pub." No apostrophe in 'Bankers' and only one 's' in Wetherspoon in this case.
 Share this content via...
