That is a very unexpected response from you to be fair, when usually you continuously spout the 'Darren is our man's speeches...... Forgive me for speaking sense here, but let me tell you why I don't think he will be going anywhere soon. Before tonight's abysmal result, Sheffield Wednesdays league form reads as something... WDDWWDWDDDDWW Okay it isn't a staggering points haul and it isn't top two form, but it's an extended unbeaten league run. Or 25 points from a possible 39... an average of 1.61 ppg, with only marginal improvement required to be consider top 6 form. Turn a couple of those draws into wins and you are solid top 6 contenders. Secondly, Moore hasn't been given a penny to spend. The club have brought in something like 12 players that combine a mixture of loans and free transfers... He has been shopping in a very limited market, without a single carrot to dangle.... Flip the coin and around the same number of players have left the club..... many on free transfers and many key players. A complete overhaul of playing staff. He is technically a Chansiri saviour at the moment. He has come into the club in one of the lowest recent periods for the club. They have been in financial bother due to FFP breaches and this year was about nothing but transition. The had to significantly reduce the wage bill, the had to completely rebuild and restructure the team with no real budget..... it's near impossible to find a manager who doesn't at least want a bit of dosh to play with. I think you lot need to remember the current stage in which you are at.... and to be honest, I think Moore probably deserves a bit of credit for making the team competitive, when many in this sort of transition period tend to double roll down the leagues. It pains me to say that Moore is doing a bloody good job in ridiculous circumstances. He's having to really put in the work and create something from nothing.... With this is mind.... in my opinion... getting rid of him could prove detrimental to the club. The position isn't very desirable at the minute until the ride the storm and turn the corner. There aren't many darren Moore's around...... the pool of potential replacements wouldn't be overly attractive. Sheridan1-0 #6 Posted December 31, 2021 Unfortunately for Wednesday nothing will change whilst ever Chansiri remains at the club …& is micro managing everything behind the scenes….& no matter who is the manager they have to do the job with one hand tied behind their back … With the above circumstances in mind,DM is making a go of it this season …but is destined to fail as your relying on free transfers & loans to get us promotion…& any team with serious ambitions of promotion don’t get beaten 5-0 at any stage of the season…
 Share this content via...

bassett one #8 Posted December 31, 2021 why after no games for 2 weeks ,where they tired?,i am not against darren far from it ,i meant knowing our boss and now the fans booing him and the team,it could lead to him being sacked, its more what happens at shrewsbury, they were top class until sunderland scored then dropped like a pack of cards, now thats also a worry,so lets see what happens sunday, but its all this we are the best,we are going up by the players, with total disrespect to others in the league,it gets the opposition thinking and playing better,
 Share this content via...

In really hard sports like The Tour de France and top boxing you can be tired by the absolute Physical effort , Football is minor in effort at the side of these sports , just look at the fat lads who play in non league they are not fit , and the Owls were way off the mark last neeeet . That fat lad from Sheffield hasn't done bad at the Lane either. However Cuttsie may have a valid point depending on how many players were ill and just because they now test negative it doesn't mean they're still back to normal. Personally I think the system is being abused but anyone watching that game last night saw a shocking lethargic display from Wednesday. Sheridan1-0 #11 Posted December 31, 2021 In retrospect….not played for 19 days …training ground closed …training done in a shift system rather than altogether as normal….players and staff struggling with Covid ….& whilst not excusing an absolutely dreadful performance & result …it is a little understandable that they weren’t the team that had been unbeaten the previous 12 games….
