blackhill 10 #2 Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) It is useful if you know dates of birth. Where people were born. Any relatives you my know of. There are other ancestry sites eg. My Heritage. Find My Past. To name two. My Heritage also offer a 14 day trial. It may be a good idea to wait until January when the 1921 Census become available Good luck Edited December 30, 2021 by blackhill Added some data
 Share this content via...

Doing your homework first is the biggest advice I can give. Ancestry sites aren't everything. (Try a simple internet search on your family name). The knowledge you already have will give you the questions you need answering. Write it down, then - Don't waste a minute of the 14 days (& cancel in plenty of time). (then move on to the next free trial ) In theory it would be nice if a simple search on a free trial gave all the answers straight away, unfortunately that's not always the case, but keep at it. So there you go, ask as many relatives as you can first (old next door neighbours etc, etc, etc). Have those questions ready and enjoy the journey. Took me two years, but well worth it. Keep safe .
