Jacboy   0 #13 Posted January 7, 2022 Sadbrewer, thank you again. I have the newspaper add-on with Findmypast and I've found the second of the articles you sent me and also another one, but the first article didn't come up in my search. Goodness knows why I haven't found any of them before. Thank you so much for your help.  Hibbsy, thank you, too, your post has helped me to pinpoint where the school was. My grandfather died before I was born and there was some kind of rift within the family (I'm still trying to get to the bottom of that!) so my Dad's side of the family wasn't talked about when I was young. My Dad died when I was 15 and I'm having to piece things together bit by bit.
