Not heard of half of them,  thank goodness Jane McDonald is on now,  love her cruise shows -  the acrobats were excellent.

It’s been bad as a bad thing on a bad day out.

I'm a big fan of Rod Stewart (note spelling) but I'm afraid your right...

Very disappointing.

When I think of past Royal Variety Performances with the great comics like Les Dawson and Morecambe and Wise and with sometimes an American performer topping the bill like Bob Hope or Danny Kaye ,these artists can blind the ones on tonight.!

I don't normally watch these ghastly shows, but I'm at my Mum's for Christmas, so I don't have a choice!

The Acrobats were amazing. Especially the silver haired one

Oh dear Elvis is well past it too.

Yes, I was just going to post the same remark. The royal guests must be bored stiff, and dying for it to end!

Did you see the documentary that Jonathan Dimbleby did on the Prince of Wales?

When the Prince's secretary told him that there was an invite to the Royal Variety Performance, he audibly groaned and looked disgusted :hihi:

I'd guessed he wasn't a fan

Yes, they must dread these events, pretending to laugh and clap. Ed Sheeran is the closing act. Can he pull it together at the end ? Nice voice, shame about the song !
