Wafer but no wine for communion. Service followed by wine and biscuits to mark the vicarâs retirement.â 2. âThe one where you could work in a control room with multiple people for 12 hours then be breaking the law if you sat on a bench drinking coffee with one of them.â 3. âForming a socially distanced queue at the airport before being sardined into a packed plane with the same people, two hours later.â 4. âSwings in our local park put into quarantine or removed â even though children were barely at risk from Covid as swings were outside.â 5. âNo butterfly stroke allowed while swimming.â 6. âPubs with no volume on the TV.â 7. âNot allowing people to sit on a park bench. My elderly aunt kept fit by walking her dog every day, but she needed to rest. Since that rule, she stopped going out. She went downhill and died last April.â 8. âI got thrown out of a McDonaldâs for refusing to stand on a yellow circle. I was the only customer.â 9. âYellow and black hazard tape across public seats and benches outdoors.â 10. âIâm stuck in the infant in-patient ward with my nine-day-old sick baby, post C-section, unable to look after him. My husband (same household) is not allowed to be here with us. Iâm having panic attacks, which is preventing me from producing milk for the baby.â 11. âI was advised by a council worker to keep my dog on a lead because people might stop to pet her and congregate too closely.â 12. âMy bed-ridden mother-in-law with dementia in a care home where only âwindow visitsâ were allowed. Mum was on the first floor. Had to wait for someone to die on the ground floor so she could be moved down there and finally seen by her family. After 12 months.â 13. âTwo people allowed to go for a walk on a golf course. If they took clubs and balls, it was a criminal offence.â 14. âThe one-way system in my local pub, which meant that to visit the loo you had to make a circular journey through the building, ensuring you passed every table.â 15. âMy dad was failing in his care home. We werenât allowed to visit him until the doctor judged he was end-of-life care because of one positive case in the home. We had 24 hours with him before he passed.â 16. âPeople falling down the escalator on the Underground because they were frightened of touching the handrails â even though you couldnât get Covid from surfaces.â 17. âRule of Six. My wife and I have three children so we could meet either my wifeâs mum or her dad, but not both at the same time.â 18. âNobody solved an airborne virus transmission with a one-way system in Tesco.â 19. âHow about not being allowed for several months â by law â to play tennis outdoors with my own wife? Weâd have been further apart from each other on court than in our own home.â 20. âOn two occasions, I was stopped and questioned while taking flowers to my motherâs grave. One time, a police officer even asked for my mumâs name. No idea what he would have done with that information.â 21. âBirmingham City Council cutting the grass in two-metre strips â so the weeds could social-distance?â 22. âNorthampton police checking supermarket baskets for non-essential items.â 23. âAll the children at school were asked to bring in a favourite book, but it had to be quarantined for two days before being âexposedâ to the rest of the class.â 24. âDr Hilary on Good Morning Britain advising people to wear masks on the beach â and that it would be a good idea to swim in the sea with one on, too.â 25. âGyms and exercise classes forced to close, but fast-food outlets remained open.â 26. âThey taped off every other urinal in my workplace.â 27. âSign on the inside of work bathroom door: close toilet lid before flushing to prevent plumes of Covid-19.â 28. âWe held our carol service in a local park, but had to send out invitations by word of mouth, rather than email, so weâd have plausible deniability if stopped by police.â 29. âHaving to wear a disposable apron and gloves while visiting my mother in a care home, while she was on the other side of a floor-to-ceiling Perspex wall.â 30. âScotch eggs. You couldnât drink in a pub unless you also had a âsubstantialâ meal.â 31. âTesting of totally healthy people and making them stop work based on a questionable positive test result, when they have no symptoms, creating NHS staff shortages, cancelled operations. Things that, you know, actually kill peopleâŠâ 32. âMy son works in the NHS on the Covid ward and could go to the local Sainsbury's for his lunch. But when we were ill and isolating at home, he had to isolate as well â for 10 days.â 33. âMy eight-year-old granddaughter telling me they werenât allowed to sing Happy Birthday at school for her friendâs ninth birthday.â 34. âIt was illegal to see your parents in their back garden, but legal to meet them in a pub garden with lots of other people.â 35. âI had to abandon my weekly choir practice â but my husband was allowed to sing as a spectator at a football match.â 36. âThey removed all the bins in Regent's Park and Hampstead Heath.â 37. âHaving a flask of tea or coffee on a walk meant it was classified as a picnic â and thus verboten.â 38. âBring your own biro to a dental appointment to fill in a form declaring you do not have Covid.â 39. âMy neighbour refused to hang the washing out to dry â they thought the sheets might catch Covid and infect them.â 40. âMy 12-year-old had to sit alone at her grandfatherâs funeral â her first experience of one â even though we drove there together and hugged outside. There were three officials watching us all to ensure we didnât break the rules.â 41. âWe could only go outdoors once a day for exercise.â 42. âIn pubs, wearing a mask to get from the door to the table, and the table to the toilet â but not wearing a mask while sitting down.â 43. âPeople in a Tier 3 area walking two minutes down the road for a pint in Tier 2.â 44. âIn Wales, supermarkets were allowed to stay open, but the aisles containing childrenâs clothing and books were taped off. Because buying a babyâs jumper is so much more perilous than picking up a pint of milk.â 45. âThe pallbearers all but threw my motherâs coffin in the grave and ran away. They had her down as a Covid death, but she died of cancer.â 46. âThe one-way systems around supermarkets that led to people being forced into parts they didnât want to be in, making them spend more time in the shop â while Covid simply circulated over the top of the shelves.â 47. âChildren abandoned by social services and left in the clutches of terrible parents.â 48. âPolice breaking into our student house and pinning my girlfriend by the neck up against the wall. I said: âThis is England â youâre not allowed to do that.ââ 49. âResidents of care homes forgetting who they were during the long months when family were not allowed to visit them.â 50. âDying alone. How many died alone? How many?â    51. 12-22 million dead making Covid nearly 10 times worse than any pandemic since 1920. Nature 18 Jan 2022 Edited January 19, 2022 by Annie Bynnol
 Share this content via...

A scared child, a woman/nurse that maybe is putting the swab up his nose a bit too far and roughly. Any parent knows that children cry at a small injection that we would brush off as nothing (unless you have a fear of them). IMO it's just another over-reaction video that's posted to get more anti vaccine people shouting 'cruelty' to children/ The Vac is useless.  Put the video in context, the young boy is just scared. It's a nose swab, nothing more!  What does get me thinking is when a person thinks a cotton bud is an evil thing. Very strange! For me to travel, I took the PCR test. August 2021. (Negative)  The nurse shoved your "cotton bud" so far up into my sinus, and twisted it around, so much so that she busted a capilliary in my nose, and it wouldn't stop bleeding for two days. as an adult I just put it down to collateral damage, but if I was a kid, I'd probably have a lifetime fear of hospitals, similar to the fear of dentists I had from the Lowfields school clinic.  It wasn't until I got older I was able to go to a dentist to find and remove the broken off stumps they had left behind in my gums. As a child 6-11yrs I had regular nasal cauterisation procedures, far from pleasant then, it's no doubt still a procedure that's currently used and has a place as a treatment.... painful at the time, but now long forgotten, i can relate with the dentist as an 11yr i had a cracked rib, from the school dentist, using his knee for leverage when extracting a tooth to allow for a brace.  Doctors, Nurses and parents carryout unpleasant procedures on children everyday, not every child will be mentally scarred for life, oddly enough I had  overzealous parents, one didn't like vaccines, the other used to argue with everyone, oddly enough as a toddler that included pool attendants, I know which traumatic events affected me the most in life, it certainly wasn't a  chemical nose swab or an electric current that was passed through it.  1 minute ago, fools said: A "scare quote"...?  It's still flying past you isn't it. fools   447 #4606 Posted January 19, 2022 (edited) This isn't a treatment, it's an unnecessary procedure. Not only did they show no empathy, it was filmed and released. Why.  All kids going through that will remember. Roll forward 20 years for the consequences.  As someone who suffered from nose bleeds, it's surprising you still think this is acceptable.  ------  Shame you didn't get the reference, It's quite well known, nevermind. RJRB   688 #4607 Posted January 19, 2022 Just on the subject of mask wearing. I am watching  a packed  House at PMQs. The Government benches are packed with MPs,all wearing face masks, which wasnât the case when masks were advised.Rees Mogg said that was because they were a close band of brothers. So if ,as seems to be the way the wind is blowing restrictions are lifted later this month, will all masks be cast aside?
 Share this content via...
